No Ventoux in 2012 Tour

On 18 October 2011 the parcours for the Tour de France 2012 was revealed, and as expected, Mont Ventoux was once again not included.
“We went in search of new mountains, for example, La Planche des Belles-Filles in the Vosges, the Col du Grand Colombier (17.4km at 7.1%), the giant of the Jura mountains, or the steep Mur de Peguere (with sections at 18%). These will become the new legendary climbs in the Tour,” explained Prudhomme.
